As the Procurement Manager, you will serve as the market authority, with your expertise playing a pivotal role in driving the company’s growth trajectory. In this role, you will have the autonomy to analyse competitive trends, formulate data-driven commercial recommendations, and shape pricing strategies that maximize trade and performance. By collaborating with the regional procurement team, you will spearhead the introduction of innovative products, ensuring DP World remains at the forefront of the industry.
Key Accountabilities
- Define, develop, and implement the country airfreight pricing strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, market conditions, and profitable growth.
- Drive growth across trade lanes and consolidation lanes by optimizing volume, revenue, gross profit, and capacity utilization through strategic pricing initiatives.
- Establish and manage Tender Net Rates (TNR), provide transparent selling rates, and support the Contracts and Tenders team in securing profitable business through RFI, RFP, and RFQ activities.
- Collaborate with Procurement on spot rate and short-term growth initiatives, and evaluate rates from overseas offices to ensure commercial competitiveness and market alignment.
- Analyze market trends and generate relevant pricing and performance reports, including the Nonstandard Administration Report (NAR), to support data-driven decision-making.
- Act as the key liaison between airfreight product, sales, marketing, and trade lane teams, and facilitate regular reviews with target countries to align pricing and growth strategies.
- Lead negotiations and relationship management with airlines and co-loader vendors, including rate agreements, capacity management, and space bookings.
- Drive operational space and capacity planning to optimize cost and service levels, and develop new airfreight products and solutions from Singapore.
- Experience in the Singapore–USA core trade lane is a strong advantage.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Airfreight within the Freight Forwarding industry.
- 5 years of commercial experience, preferably in pricing and global/regional tenders.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including negotiation and presentation abilities.
- Customer-focused with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet price modelling, PowerPoint, and reporting information systems.
