Welcome to the Jungle
Welcome to the Jungle is the prettiest job board in Europe, with editorial-grade employer profiles, and it absorbed Otta. We are a flatter board with broader coverage.

Where Welcome to the Jungle is genuinely strong
If you are job-hunting inside Welcome to the Jungle's core markets and you care about evaluating a company before applying, it is the best surface for that. The branded profiles are genuinely useful when they exist (photos of the office, who the team is, what the company says about itself), and the editorial side is one of the few career-content operations that does not read like SEO bait.
Absorbing Otta made it stronger, not weaker: the curated, preference-driven matching that Otta was known for now runs inside a bigger catalogue, and the UK and US coverage that came with it filled in the gap outside continental Europe. The trade-off is still honest, though. Those branded profiles exist because the employer paid for them, and the catalogue is selective by design.
Where HireHoot fits
HireHoot has no pay-to-place. Every company we have a clean listing for gets the same surface area, ranked by recency and filtered by the criteria you pick, and our pledge page is the written version of that promise. We pull from the ATSes most European employers already use (Greenhouse, Ashby, Lever, Workday, Recruitee, SmartRecruiters, Personio, Teamtailor, and others), so a company hiring through a standard tenant is on the board whether or not it has a paid profile anywhere.
For company context we generate a profile per company from public sources (Wikipedia, the company site, public filings) plus a generated description. It is not magazine-quality, but it is consistent across every company on the board and it does not bias toward who paid. What we put the effort into instead is the part after you find the job: tailoring, a prep briefing, and a spoken practice interview that scores you.
