Job Description:
· Develop and design manufacturing process workflows for ultra-cleanproduct assembly in semiconductor and life science applications.
· Develop, transfer, and industrialize new manufacturing processes for theproduction of optical fiber assemblies and related products.
· Implement customer cleanliness requirements and cleanroom processspecifications to ensure stable and repeatable production.
· Optimize assembly processes and manufacturing procedures to improveproductivity, quality, efficiency, and cost.
· Lead continuous improvement initiatives and mentor team members toenhance assembly processes and operational excellence.
· Translate customer requirements into practical engineering solutions,design specifications, and detailed manufacturing documentation.
· Create conceptual and detailed engineering drawings, Bills of Materials(BOMs), routing, assembly instructions, and supporting documentation forprototype and production builds.
· Support prototype assembly, product validation, testing, and thetransition from development to mass production.
· Conduct tolerance stack-up and GD&T analyses to ensure productmanufacturability and compliance with design requirements.
· Review and maintain engineering documentation, including EngineeringChange Notices (ECNs), engineering data packs, DFMEA, and other productlifecycle documents.
· Maintain accurate BOMs, routing information, and master data within the ERP/PLMsystem.
· Prepare, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), workinstructions, and other technical documentation.
· Translate engineering drawings and technical documents from German toEnglish (where applicable) and upload documentation into local systems.
· Support design reviews, technical discussions, project meetings, and riskassessments.
· Collaborate closely with R&D, Process Engineering, Production,Quality, Supply Chain, Sales, and Marketing teams to ensure successful productdevelopment and manufacturing.
· Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS)requirements and quality management systems, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO13485, and AS9100D.
· Provide project documentation and administrative support for engineeringand R&D activities as required.
Job Requirements:
· Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relatedengineering discipline.
· At least 3–5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, manufacturingengineering, process engineering, or product development within thesemiconductor, precision engineering, photonics, optics, or relatedmanufacturing industries.
· Experience in optical fiber assembly or precision optics manufacturing ishighly preferred.
· Experience in new product introduction (NPI), manufacturing processdevelopment, and process transfer to production.
· Hands-on experience in maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs), routing,master data, and engineering documentation.
· Experience supporting prototype builds, product validation, testing, andproduction ramp-up.
· Knowledge of mechanical design principles, engineering drawings,GD&T, and tolerance stack-up analysis.
· Familiarity with 2D/3D CAD software and engineering document controlpractices.
· Understanding of Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), DFMEA, and productlifecycle documentation.
· Knowledge of contamination control and cleanroom manufacturing practicesis an advantage.
· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings; proficiency intranslating technical documents from German to English is an added advantage.
· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills withexcellent attention to detail.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to workeffectively in cross-functional and international teams.
