Position: International Logistics and Key Account Specialist
The International Logistics and Key Account Specialist is responsible for coordinating international freight operations, managing key customer accounts, and supporting the development of efficient logistics solutions. This position works closely with customers, ocean carriers, warehouses, and overseas logistics partners to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation services while maintaining strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage international logistics activities for assigned customer accounts, including shipment planning, scheduling, and delivery coordination;
• Analyze customers’ transportation requirements and develop appropriate international freight and logistics solutions;
• Prepare freight quotations and coordinate pricing based on shipping routes, cargo volume, service requirements, and market conditions;
• Communicate and negotiate with ocean carriers and logistics service providers regarding freight rates, vessel space, container availability, and service terms;
• Monitor shipment progress and address delays, scheduling changes, capacity constraints, and other operational issues;
• Maintain regular communication with key customers and respond to logistics-related requests and service concerns;
• Coordinate with overseas logistics partners, warehouses, carriers, and internal departments to support end-to-end transportation operations;
• Review freight market trends, carrier services, transit times, and available transportation options;
• Support the development of new customer accounts, shipping lanes, and international logistics business opportunities; and
• Prepare and maintain shipment, pricing, customer account, and operational performance records.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree and at least three (3) years of professional experience in international logistics, freight forwarding, key account management, ocean freight operations, or a related field;
• Practical knowledge of international shipping procedures, freight pricing, carrier coordination, shipment scheduling, and international logistics operations;
• Experience managing customer accounts and coordinating with ocean carriers, warehouses, or overseas logistics partners;
• Experience analyzing transportation requirements, negotiating freight rates or service terms, and resolving logistics and operational issues; and
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics, ERP, booking, or shipment-tracking systems.
