CNC Millers & Turners (Skilled) • Location: Nelson, Lancashire • Contract: Location 12 week temp to perm (acting as the probation), converting to a permanent role based on performance and attendance within the 12-week period. Shifts available: • Days: 08:00 16:30, Monday to Friday - 16.62 per hour • Nights: 22:00 07:00, Monday to Thursday - 23.27 per hour Our client is a well established precision engineering company in East Lancashire, producing high quality machined components and assemblies for demanding sectors including aerospace, defence, medical and scientific markets. They work predominantly on small to medium bespoke batch orders in stainless steel and aluminium. They are currently recruiting true skilled CNC Operators to work on Mazak machines across milling and turning. Key responsibilities: • Set up and operate CNC milling and turning machines to manufacture bespoke precision components in small to medium batch sizes • Work predominantly on Mazak machines (Mazatrol knowledge desirable) • Interpret engineering drawings and job specifications to produce components to tight tolerances • Select appropriate tooling and check work using precision gauges and measuring instruments (micrometers, verniers, etc.) • Ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish meet specification for high specification precision engineering work • Work with stainless steel and aluminium materials across bespoke orders • Carry out first off and in process inspections of your own work • Perform routine machine maintenance and safe material handling • Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area in line with 5S and health & safety standards Skills & experience: • Proven experience as a skilled CNC Miler and/or Turner • Strong ability in machine setup, working to tight tolerances, and producing precision components • Competence in reading engineering drawings and using precision measuring instruments • Knowledge and ability to programme using Mazatrol (for turning) and/or CADCAM (for milling) • Experience working in a precision engineering, ideally on aerospace or similar • Experience with Doosan and/or Mazak machine types Interested in this role?
