Senior Analytics Engineer

Rate Range: $65.00 to 70.00 on a w2 basis - NO SPONSORSHIP OR C2C in any form
We are seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to bridge the gap between data engineering and business intelligence. You will transform complex enterprise data into trusted, governed analytical assets using dbt, advanced SQL, and Power BI, enabling self-service reporting and data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities-
dbt & Data Modeling: Design, build, and maintain scalable dimensional data models (star schema) using dbt and software engineering best practices (version control, testing, documentation).

SQL Pipeline Optimization: Write and optimize complex SQL queries across enterprise cloud data warehouses, ensuring high performance and data quality.

Power BI & Semantic Models: Develop governed Power BI datasets, write efficient DAX measures, implement Row-Level Security (RLS), and support self-service analytics.

Governance & Best Practices: Promote data lineage, automated testing, naming conventions, and CI/CD development standards.

5+ years in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or BI.

2+ years of hands-on experience with dbt (Core or Cloud).

Deep expertise in SQL and dimensional modeling (star schema).

Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX calculations, dataset management, and RLS.

Experience with Git, cloud warehouses (Snowflake, Azure, Databricks, or Fabric), and software engineering principles.
