Philadelphia, PA 19103 Hybrid Contract Opportunity Ashley Hughes-Jefferson Consulting LLC is recruiting an experienced Kubernetes / Cloud Platform Engineer for a specialized technology modernization opportunity supporting production communications and voice services. We are seeking an experienced engineer with substantial hands-on responsibility for production Kubernetes environments. This opportunity requires considerably more than basic container experience, certifications, coursework, or lab exposure. The Opportunity The selected professional will help modernize established application services by transitioning workloads from traditional virtual-machine infrastructure to scalable, resilient, cloud-native Kubernetes environments. Responsibilities will include: Administering, deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting production Kubernetes environments Supporting application and infrastructure modernization Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines Automating infrastructure and deployment processes Building Ansible roles and playbooks Using Terraform for Infrastructure-as-Code Supporting cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or OpenStack Implementing monitoring, logging, dashboards, and alerting Troubleshooting production application and infrastructure issues Supporting high-availability and latency-sensitive architectures Assisting with migration planning, validation, testing, and production implementation Creating technical and operational documentation Required Experience Qualified candidates should demonstrate advanced professional experience with: Kubernetes administration and production troubleshooting Kubernetes deployment and lifecycle management Ansible Terraform CI/CD pipeline development and automation Cloud infrastructure Infrastructure-as-Code Production application/platform support Monitoring and observability Scripting or programming, preferably Python High-availability production environments Approximately 10+ years of relevant technology experience and a bachelor's degree are expected. Preferred Experience Candidates may be especially competitive if they have experience with: Red Hat OpenShift Telecom or voice technologies SIP, SBC, IMS, or voice middleware VM-to-container or cloud-native migrations Prometheus Grafana ELK Splunk Datadog GitOps AI/ML infrastructure or AI-assisted operations Location & Employment Requirements This is a hybrid opportunity based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
