Position Title: Production Planner cum Purchaser
Working Location: Seletar Aerospace Park, North-East Region
Working Hours: 5 days (Mon-Fri: 8am-5.30pm)
Salary Package: Basic + VB
Duration: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

Plan and schedule production based on customer orders, delivery requirements, and available machine capacity.
Coordinate with Production, Sales, and Quality teams to ensure production schedules are achievable and delivery commitments are met.
Monitor production progress and follow up on delays, material shortages, and other issues affecting delivery.
Prepare and maintain production schedules, work orders, and related planning records.
Review material requirements and raise purchase orders for raw materials, tooling, consumables, and other production-related items.
Source and liaise with suppliers to obtain quotations, negotiate pricing, and follow up on delivery schedules.
Monitor material availability and ensure materials are purchased on time to support production requirements.
Follow up with suppliers on outstanding orders and expedite urgent materials when required.
Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records, including purchase orders, delivery dates, and outstanding items.
Monitor inventory levels to prevent material shortages or excess stock.
Coordinate with the Store and Production teams on material receiving and availability.
Perform other production planning and purchasing duties as assigned.

Minimum GCE O-Level, Higher NITEC, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
Relevant experience in production planning, purchasing, or manufacturing is preferred.
Experience in precision engineering, machining, or a manufacturing environment is an advantage.
Basic understanding of machining processes, materials, and production requirements.
Able to read and understand engineering drawings.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Experience with ERP or MRP systems is an advantage.
Good communication, coordination, and follow-up skills.
Meticulous and organised, with the ability to work independently.
Able to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
