[About the role]

We are looking for a Product Manager to own the growth and success of our AI-powered workflow automation engine for grant processes and over time, other products in our portfolio. This is a builder-and-evangelist role, not a backlog-administration one. You will become the person who understands the product better than anyone outside the engineering team, uses it hands-on every day, and turns that mastery into adoption across the organisation with an agency first mindset. The ideal person runs ahead of instruction: you find the use cases, you talk to the users, you demo the product, you run the clinic, you unblock the team that is stuck and you report back with what you learned and what we should build next. Your job is to create the demand and the momentum for the product so the engineering team can stay focused on building it. As you grow into the role, we expect you to take on additional products, and to spot and shape entirely new ones.

[What you will be working on]

  • Master the product and become its go-to expert. Learn the workflow automation engine end to end and use it hands-on, deeply enough to build real grant-process workflows yourself, onboard new users, and guide others through their own. You are the first port of call when someone is stuck.
  • Put yourself in the customer's shoes. Actively seek out how different teams work, spot where automation can help before they ask and translate that into concrete feature ideas and product direction you bring back to engineering.
  • Drive adoption creatively. Own how the product grows: run hands-on clinics and workshops, produce demos and playbooks, seed lighthouse use cases, and invent your own out-of-the-box tactics to get people using the product and coming back.
  • Own stakeholder relationships across departments. Work directly with outreach, customer acquisition, and business teams to surface real use cases, showcase the product, and help them succeed with it, building trust and momentum in units where you hold no direct authority.
  • Close the loop with engineering. Convert what you learn in the field into a prioritised, evidence-backed view of what matters most, so the team ships the things that move adoption, and so the engineering lead can stay focused on building.
  • Shape AI-assisted capabilities. Partner with engineers on the product's AI features, agents, automation, generation, and recommendation, with a clear sense of where they add value and where they break down in real use.
  • Grow the portfolio. Take on additional products as you scale and identify, validate, and shape new product opportunities where you see them.

[What we are looking for]

  • You have a track record of owning a product or platform and driving its adoption across users and stakeholders you did not control. We will ask you exactly how you did it.
  • You are independent and high-agency, you identify the work that needs doing and do it without waiting to be told, and you are comfortable being the sole PM carrying a product forward.
  • You are genuinely curious and technical enough to go deep, you enjoy learning a product to expert level, building things in it yourself, and teaching others.
  • You are customer-obsessed, you instinctively think from the user's perspective and can translate messy real-world needs into clear product ideas.
  • You have strong stakeholder and communication skills, you can walk into a room of another department, understand their problems, run a compelling demo, and leave with them wanting to use the product.
  • You bring creativity to growth, you have ideas for driving adoption that go beyond a roadmap, and you're willing to run experiments to find what works.
  • 3 to 6 years in product management, or equivalent experience owning and growing a product used by diverse groups.
