We are seeking an experienced part-time Upholsterer to join our healthcare furniture manufacturing team. The role involves upholstering chairs, seating, and panels using vinyl and fabric to a high standard suitable for hospitals and care facilities. The ideal candidate will be reliable, skilled, and able to work independently in a busy workshop environment. Key Responsibilities Upholstery of healthcare furniture using vinyl and fabric Cutting vinyls, fabrics, and foam accurately to templates and measurements Stapling, gluing, assembling, and finishing upholstery components&L Healthcare Furniture Ltd is seeking an experienced Machinist to join our manufacturing team specialising in healthcare chair production. The ideal candidate will have experience operating classic woodworking and furniture‑making machines, with a minimum of 3–4 years’ experience in chair or furniture manufacturing. This role involves producing high‑quality components for healthcare seating, ensuring accuracy, durability, and consistency across all manufactured parts. Key Responsibilities Operate classic furniture‑manufacturing machines (saws, planers, spindle moulders, sanders, etc.) Manufacture chair frames and components to precise measurements Prepare, cut, shape, and finish timber and composite materials Work closely with the production team to meet quality and delivery targets Maintain machinery, tools, and a safe working environment Follow production drawings, templates, and specifications Ensure all work meets healthcare durability and safety standards Essential Requirements 3–4+ years’ experience as a machinist in furniture or chair manufacturing Strong experience with classic woodworking machines Ability to produce accurate, consistent components Good understanding of furniture assembly processes Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Strong attention to detail and quality Own transport required (workshop located in Navan) Desirable (Not Essential) Experience in healthcare furniture manufacturing Ability to read technical drawings Experience with jig making or template work Willingness to support continuous improvement in production What We Offer Part-time hours with potential for increased hours Competitive hourly rate based on experience Friendly, supportive workshop environment Opportunity to grow within a developing Irish manufacturing business
