The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide comprehensive nursing care to adolescent, adult, and older adult patients in accordance with physician orders, established clinical guidelines, policies, and procedures. The RN will support health maintenance, episodic care, and chronic care while providing safe, compassionate, and patient-centered services.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver nursing care in accordance with physician orders, department policies, and established clinical standards.
- Provide health maintenance, episodic, and chronic care to adolescent, adult, and older adult patients.
- Review medical records for relevant current and previous medical information.
- Interview patients to assess current health concerns, medications, allergies, and relevant medical history.
- Administer medications safely and accurately according to established policies and procedures.
- Assess patient conditions and distinguish between acute and emergency situations.
- Respond appropriately to medical emergencies in accordance with established protocols.
- Document all patient care and clinical activities accurately, concisely, and completely.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, healthcare professionals, patients, and other members of the care team.
- Organize and prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining quality and patient safety.
- Maintain a calm, professional, and purposeful approach during high-demand and emergency situations.
- Maintain compliance with departmental expectations, professional standards, HIPAA privacy and security requirements, and mandatory training.
- Protect patient confidentiality and maintain accurate medical records.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- 3-5+ years of professional nursing experience preferred.
- Previous medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.
- IV therapy experience and skills preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency and high-pressure situations.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient-care skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
