Acute Care Surgeons to join our expanding team!
- Base Salary: $450,000 with the potential for additional earnings through optional extra shifts
- Annual quality bonus + CME allowance + optional teaching stipend
- $30,000 sign on bonus + relocation
- This is an employed opportunity with Baptist Medical Group (a multidisciplinary medical group with over 1,500 employed physicians)
Some notable facts about our ACS program:
Join our 7 Acute Care Surgeons and a highly trained, committed support staff
Primary facility: BMH-Memphis (700 bed tertiary referral center for our 26-hospital system)
Additional coverage at BMH-Collierville, a small, community-based satellite hospital conveniently located approximately 12 miles from BMH-Memphis
Dedicated ACS OR room, with access to Da Vinci robots at both hospitals
Incredibly diverse pathology
Minimal Trauma (Polytrauma is covered by Elvis Presley Level 1 Trauma Center in downtown Memphis)
Our group operates on a balanced schedule designed to support clinical excellence and physician well-being
Approximately 7, 24-hour call shifts per month
Call responsibilities are shared between BMH-Memphis and BMH-Collierville
Rounding, backup call, and outpatient clinic responsibilities
Minimum of 9 consecutive days off per physician each month
Additional call shifts available for $3,000 per shift
Strong sub-specialty support
Opportunities to teach general surgery residents and medical students
Collaborative and collegial physician and administrative team
- As a not-for-profit system, BMHCC qualifies for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF)
