Integrated Device Technology, Inc. (IDT) was founded in 1980 and headquartered in San Jose, California. The company was a specialist semiconductor manufacturer focused on memory products, including DDR SDRAM, SRAM, and mixed-signal integrated circuits for computing, networking, and communications infrastructure. IDT served as a critical supplier of high-performance memory solutions to original equipment manufacturers globally. In 2019, the company was acquired by Renesas Electronics Corporation, a Japanese semiconductor company, for approximately 3.2 billion dollars, making IDT a wholly-owned operating subsidiary. The acquisition strengthened Renesas' position in specialty memory and analog semiconductor markets.
